Shangri La’s Mactan Island Resort, Philippines Tourism, Video 1 of 2 ~ My Motorcycle Adventures – Cebu Video

I discovered a beautiful resort here on Mactan Island called the Shangri La Mactan Resort and Spa. After going through management, I was able to capture the beauty of this massive beach resort for you. I was greeted by a very nice quartet upon arriving. 2. That's one beautiful hotel and it got to be expensive. Nice footage Mike, and this time at least you get to roam around except the beach area.

  4. Ive been Shangri-La Mactan many times…you went through the main lobby and building..i normally stay in Ocean Wing…killer ocean views from the balcony.
The restaurant you peeked into "Tides" has unbelievable dinner buffet, for extra charge you can get wine buffet as well. But the signature restaurant here is Cowrie Cove, which offers dining Ocean side with great menu and live music entertainment…there is also a single table for two out on the Jetty in the water for a truly romantic experience. Overall a gorgeous place…the nicest I've been to in Cebu. But…be prepared to keep that wallet open…its not cheap. I believe my Ocean view room with breakfast was in the 16,000- 18,000p range per night. Total 5 restaurants here…2 pools and the best beach you will find on Mactan…service second to none.
As much as i love it here, and it is my first choice…i would say best value and bang for your buck is the resort just down the road…Movenpick.  Great place also and a bit cheaper…hope you got there also.

  5. BTW Mike…once you get by security and into the resort, everyone will think you are just another guest there…you could have walked down to beach without a hassle…you were very close as it was…no harm in bending the rules a wee bit.

  11. I think they have day use where you can avail of the facilities and have a buffet lunch. It's still pricey but I heard the food is really good.

  15. It cost over 150 USA a night in 2000 no telling what it cost now, you could at that time pay like 1000 peso's to use the pool and beach not sure if they offered that now.

  16. Nice but overpriced and too much of a cookie cutter feel to the whole place. I suspect that's why it appeals to Chinese, Japanese and Korean tourists.

Seven floors is also pushing it and it's definitely not a place for romantics.
