Casino Robber Surrenders

Pascual Urian Jr., the casino internal security staffer who allegedly walked away with P2.8 million from Pagcor’s satellite casino at Mandaue City’s Park Mall last month faced casino officials and the media today. He surrendered to the Panay Police and was brought here. He brought with him P1.4 million or half of the loot he took from the casino at midnight last July 14. The rest of the money Urian allegedly used to pay off his debts as he reportedly gambles as well as uses illegal drugs. Urian was tearful but refused to talk to the media. After he took the money last month, the police said the suspect traveled to Santander where he took a boat to Dumaguete City. From there, he moved to Bacolod and then to Iloilo where he supposedly ran out of places to hide, forcing him to surrender.
