And this is not regarding the hotel.
Previously, we have shared with all our readers the sisterhood between two cities, that is Haarlemmermeer and Cebu City and “Beyond Marco Polo” is their common goal.
Honorable Theo Weterings, Mayor of Haarlemmermeer, Netherlands, spoke of generously giving Cebu City a brand new ambulance for its use on the launching of the said program last December 10, 2009 at the Social Hall of the Legislative Building, Cebu City Hall. But they are not planning to ship it out here via air or water – they are going to drive it through Netherlands up to the nearest continent to the Philippines, and then ship it going to Luzon (probably through Manila Bay) and then take the land trip going to Cebu. This is what they described as “Beyond Marco Polo”; Marco Polo being well known for his travel through the silk road.
The ambulance will be turned over to ERUF (Emergency Rescue Unit Foundation) once it arrives.
