There’s already 1 known casualty from playing Farmville.

The above fact was proven by a conversation overheard by my sister-in-law while on the travel from Bohol to Cebu City via Weesam. Actual names withheld to protect their privacy.

Guy A: {while so busy clicking his mouse and telling the story} So tragic bai… Farmboy wasn’t able to even reach Christmas!

Guy B: Why bai? What happened? Farmville, what the …?

Guy A: {still clicking away in his laptop} He was so addicted to Farmville bai, the game ba in Facebook, like farming whatever… He just waited and waited for plowing, planting and harvesting that he didn’t eat at all! So one day after several days of just facing his PC and playing, he stood up and due to lack of food and energy bai, he was so nauseous that he fell over and hit his head. That’s why he didn’t even reach Christmas, he was DOA in the hospital.

My brother-in-law told my sister-in-law to listen intently because she was also so addicted to the same game. The story seemed funny, but the guys were so dead serious (no pun intended).

And when finally my sister-in-law glanced at the two guys out of curiosity because while telling the story, Guy A was so busy clicking his mouse and looking at his screen. And his laptop screen showed, guess what.

Farmville.
