  1. Sorry to hear you're don't feel good Those meds they are giving you seem strong.I usually google to see what there are and side affects and interaction FYI I use WebMd website and Mayo clinic. I have notice some locals and expats having long lasting coughs there. Hope you get to feeling better.

  2. Is there a reason you didn't return to the original doctor? Not impressed by him or just the fact that the problem returned so you wanted another opinion?

  3. yup PI medicine is no joke! when I'm in canada it usually takes me several pills to fix my illness, in philippines gone in a couple days! i think those medicine when prescribed by doctors are really strong, i don't know why that is, but maybe the regulation in PI are not as strict thus resulting in higher doses. just a guess

  4. Good info. For sure a good idea to go to doctor at first signs of problem. I work in a hospital radiology department now. So think the x-rays were good idea for your cough. Hope they rule out anything serious,  bronchitis   over tuberculosis(TB) or pneumonia any day buddy. If you ever need a cat scan(CT) or MRI is that all done at the hospital or an off site clinic? And cost and how fast can U get those scans done?  In any case hope U feel better.

  5. I know this is off the wall, but I recently had a full mouth x-ray during a dental check and come to find out I had an abscessed tooth without any symptoms, I ended up going to 3 different dentist because I didn't believe them and had the tooth removed because it was cracked. The moral to my comment, always have your teeth / gums checked because many problems to your health of your body will start in the mouth…hope you feel better.

  11. Time to move out of that cesspool called Cebu City. Seriously Rod, that place is just a petri dish of bacteria waiting to infect you. That and the terrible air quality. I can only take a few days there before I have to leave. We decided to move to Bacolod in Negros just because of the health issue. We were always getting sick in Cebu. Take care of yourself man.

  15. Cheaper than the monthly Medicare part B cost. At our age you will also need pneumococcal, whooping cough, tetanus and shingles vaccine. The advance medical care of San Francisco don't work as advertise but they provide beautiful pain killers. Senior citizens of my neighborhood die mostly on sundays to the delight of landlords.

By the way you don't need a magnifier, you can download any free magnifying app to your smart phone, it does works well.
Thank God you decided to wait and didn't take your medicine at McDonalds, other wise you will be band from their establishment for life ( just kidding).
Maybe it's time to keep some spare adult diaper beside the tissue roll, just in case (kidding again)…

  26. Perpetual Succour Hospital is among the best hospitals in Cebu along with Chong Hua, Cebu Doctors Hospital and UC Med Center. Perpetual Succour Hospital hosts Cebu Heart and Cancer Institutes. Chong Hua has Kidney Center and Cancer Center at its newer and state-of-the-art facility in Mandaue near Parkmall. Except for UC Medical Center, all three are the more expensive hospitals in Cebu, maybe due to their modern medical equipment and facilities.

UC Med is the newest hospital in Cebu, a training hospital of the University of Cebu and it is cheaper.

  27. It's quite different if you're doing it with hospitals in manila. St Luke's urgent care would cost you twice but for the convenience I take it.

Medicine would be the same cost for everyone regardless if you're foreigner or not. Mercury drug is always the best bet.

Some medicines are cheaper than the one back in the states. Some higher
