Biyahe ni Drew: Flavors of Cebu (Full episode) – Cebu Video



Aired (November 23, 2018): Our favorite Biyahero goes back to Cebu to taste the flavors of the Queen City of the South, including the traditional puso or rice wrapped in leaf, Cebu lechon, and lansiao or balbacua. Strolling downtown in Cebu, Drew also gets a taste of Chinese culture from one of the earliest Chinese restaurants in the city.

  3. Ang Cebu Sugbo dito lahat bagsakan sa Carbon Market Tabuan at Pasil. Kita mo yung mangangalakal dito maunlad at matagal ng pamamalakad. Cebu is the Center Thrade in Philippines since pre Spanish time. when Magellan came Cebu is already an Empire we had our own church, witch doctors,albularyo, different types of Merchant came from the neighboring country. we are strongly influenced by the Chinese the whole Magallanes is like you where in China. and in Parian Colon and to Cathedral and Sto. Nino church where Spanish Influence. Beverly Hills in is like you where in Hollywood Cebu is where the rich and famous residents. The pier 1,2,3,4,5,6 is the center of the bound and out going sea ferries and cargo ship export and imports products. Cebu is the Oldest when it comes to foods,city, they have a strong Filipino culture. Drew you have to try the Beef Cusahos,sea cucumber salad, lansiao, tinulang bao(turtle soup), tuslib buwa(utak ng baboy),kilawing saang at sea orchin the best, the Larang and bagasi where so good and also tinabal na isda, Cebuanos desserts are puto maya pair with ripe mango, sikwati, morol na suman, bibingkang dawa, ube kalamay, rosquillos,otap, fried kulo(bread fruit),toron, palitaw,nilusak,biko at marami pang iba.   8. Tourists from Manila no longer needs to take back home Cebu lechon because both Zubuchon and Rico's Lechon are now putting up branches in Manila. Even the famous Cebu lechon belly and Balamban liempo are now all over Manila.

  10. The person who joined drew in his tour here in Cebu is our chef Instructor Chef Richard C. Hao in the University of San Jose Recoletos. He is a renowned chef and an advocate in farm to table movement, he is also an expert in his field specializing both international and local gastronomy. A slow food movement advocate It was a good choice to pick him as one of the tour guide.

  31. Not a fan of Zubuchon. I think there are far better lechon places in Cebu. IMO. Sorry. I like House of Lechon, Rico's and Ayer's. I'm sure there are other underrated ones around. (The lechon in Talisay City is also really good!)
