A $655 dollar a month 4 Bedroom, 3 Bathroom House in Cebu City, Philippines. – Cebu Video

An example of a $655 dollar a month 4 Bedroom, 3 Bathroom House in Cebu City, Philippines. With shared Swimming Pool.

I am not an agent nor do I wish to rent the house. I am just giving my viewers an idea of what is available for P35,000.00 ($665.00) per month. The house is for rent as of 28 Dec, 2018. The telephone number of the owner is (63 32) 254 9349.

One of the questions asked the most is, “who much does it cost to live in the Philippines”. Everyone seems to select a figure of what they think it costs and then defends it despite sometimes overwhelming evidence their selected the wrong figure. So I decided to leave it to you to decide how much you can live on, I will just show you how far your money will go and what to expect.

This video is just to give an example of what $665 dollars can get you in Cebu City regards accommodation. If four foreigners shared the property with one bedroom each, it would cost them P8,750.00 or $166.25 each.

  1. Decent place I'm just not a fan of town houses. They are the middle ground between an apartment and a house they lack the security and location of an apartment, and the yard, size, and 1 story convienece of a house.

  2. It's a lot of money in my opinion. Cebu seems to surpass Manila and suburbs in prices. Too many foreigners = higher prices? Free water… I pay only 154 pesos monthly for 10 m3 which is enough for a couple if you don't waist water. That cemented area in front with the pool will become blazing hot so your aircons will blow your electricity bill. Easily add 5000 pesos for that. 3 bathrooms is a bit much, better have 1 but large. With 4 foreigners in a house…? LOL…Never ever in my life…! LOL.

  3. As a westerner looks nice inside…curious what kitchen looks like. The area is quiet also which is nice. The pool area needs work that area in front of pool if it had grass and landscaping would look much better. Though doubt most foreigners need that many bedrooms as most foreigners are older and dont need rooms for kids. Wife from Philippines says not a good deal.

  6. Do your research to find out how noisy the neighbors are. Condos/townhouses can be noisy and you’re stuck. I saw some detached homes last summer for this price or less Everyone is allowed their opinion

  14. Nice house for you there @Tom and Ruth Philippine Adventures although its not a pop up house 😉
A little on the expensive side for long term rental, Would do be better fully furnished as a holiday rental Furnished and advertised on Airbnb IMHO.

I think people need to stop been greedy, and start building some affordable housing for the Filipinos instead of pricing them out of the market and just looking for the USD.

Because honestly (as a foreigner) we don't all come to Asia for Western Standard of living, most of us are content with a normal simple province life. generally the foreigners who do want a western standard of living are content to rent condos or buy a condo.

  17. Thumbs up for yet another factual info video.. ?

Personally though, I'm of the 'stay in the provinces and away from foreigners' OR 'buy a lot and self build' fraternities, lol. But I do still accept, not all folk may be able to hack or prefer country/rural life etc or have a construction/property development/design background nor appreciate the finer workings and laws (particularly the limitations for non-Filipino citizens) surrounding land acquisition in phils …

So yes, renting like this may be the only and best way

It's certainly a safer option atleast.

But long term? I'd advise against; unless somewhere cheap yet safe and clean can be found and its just a stepping stone to a better plan).

    Peace in 2019

  19. Great video
In my opinion developers in Cebu should build ranch style homes for retired expats. Should be a good sale just title them as detached condos. Inexpensive to build and fast turnaround. Maybe some cape's with dog shed dormers for visitors to use the upstairs bedrooms. Or Airbnb them to offset the monthly cost. I secured a land lease in Elnido for a friend and they will build 68 units late 2019. All units have deposits for 25 year leases with an option to extend 25 more years. Securing 25 years of cash flow for the land owners. Also, giving the land owners options to sell the land lease portfolio to an investment group.
On a side note, Definitely a pool with water is a plus.

Love the videos and keep them coming sis.
